Sue Egan has 30+ years of practical experience and a pragmatic approach, which she uses to help organisations of all types and sizes needing to improve their performance in Business Ethics, Compliance and Corporate Governance.
Sue’s positive, practical approach and influencing skills have enabled her clients to achieve their business goals in a wide range of situations from single-person projects to cross-functional teams across cultural and geographic boundaries and at all levels up to and including main board.
Sue is a founder member of the organising committee of the International Pharmaceutical Compliance Congress and Best Practices Forum conferences. She has a high reputation as a speaker and presenter of case studies at conferences in the USA, Europe, Asia, and Latin America. Sue also delivers presentations and training using web-based tools.
Since 2001, Sue has been an Ethics and Compliance leader at all levels from single marketing company and European Compliance Officer (covering 44 countries in and around Europe) for GlaxoSmithKline to International VP (covering most of the world, excluding USA and Canada) for AstraZeneca.
Sue began her career as a computer programmer in a software house and quickly progressed to become a team leader, then project manager, business analyst and technical strategy leader before moving into compliance and governance. She has led teams of up to 160 staff globally with budgets over £10 million.
In addition to her consultancy work, Sue writes articles on a variety of related topics.
Sue has an MBA and a BSc in Mathematics & Physics, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute.
